Bike (200 kilometers) :

Description :
The course begins with an easy hill up to the Quillane Pass. The incline is quite light and the quality of the pavement is excellent. Almost immediately you will arrive at the Llose Pass, a bit steeper but quite short. In the pass, you will begin a long descent on a small mountain road (please be careful as it is snakelike) all the way until the Creu Pass. This can be described as the first real difficulty of the course. The incline increases gradually over a dozen kilometers on a small narrow road with amazing landscapes and views. Incline varies between 6% and 8%. After the pass, the descent is a fast one and presents no difficulties. However, please remain careful at all times. Next comes the Chioula. The incline here remains around 7% but « only » for 5km. The quality of the road here is excellent and the area is surrounded by forests. You will then descend towards Camurac and Belcaire through an enjoyable and smooth road. The descent continues all the way until a “stopper hill” or “wall” with an 11% incline for 1.5km that leads up to the Sault plateau. After a few flat kilometers the course then reaches the valley of the Aude and the Gavarel Pass. After a few easy kilometers, the serious challenges appear with a 3km hill with a 9-10% immediately followed by a 4km hill with 6% incline. The road quality is quite good and provides exceptional landscapes. After a technical descent of a few kilometers you will reach Km 168 of the course and the incredibly difficult “Carcagnères” hill. For 3km you will have to face an incline of more than 12% on a very average quality road. After a short flat area before Quarigut, the incline resumes for a few more kilometers until the Hares Pass. The road quality there is excellent and the incline is only a very slightly uphill. By then you have finished the bike course…time for a run…

Total climb : 5000 meters.

Run course  (42,195 Kilometers) :

Description :
The course is a long back and forth to and from the village. It starts out flat around the lake until you reach the lake hamlet where you will face the first challenge: a hill of a bit less than a kilometer with a 6% incline. You will then turn around at the top to return to the bike park and head towards the village. Then comes the hardest part of the run course. Until the village, the course is irregularly uphill on a satisfactory path. The hardest hill is right after passing the village center: for 1.1km with a 10% incline. At the top, the view over the entire Capcir plateau is breathtaking. Then you will descend to reach the top of the Balcère Avenue and pass over towards “Les Angles” towards the lake. You will descend on a slight decline towards the Bacère Lake where you will find the turn around. You will then redo the same course until you reach the village where the arrival will take place inside the events building for your triumph and entry into the Altriman legend.
