Medical personnel shall have ULTIMATE AND FINAL authority to remove a participant from the race if the participant is judged to be physically incapable of continuing the race without risk of serious injury or death.
Altriman (LD Format IM)
- As the race is organized under the supervision of the UFOLEP, official federal French rules apply.
- Official referees are the only representatives authorized to apply sanctions.
- Official referees will be dressed in regulatory uniform attire.
- Strictly abiding by French traffic road code is mandatory. Any and all infractions will be sanctioned by immediate disqualification.
- All competitors must be aware that they are participating in an “exceptional” competition (distance, altitude, incline, weather…) that requires appropriate preparation, and that they will be taking mountain roads, that may be in less than satisfactory condition, with possibly difficult weather conditions. All competitors commit to using caution at all times.
- The organizers decline all responsibility in the event of an accident due to any negligence to abide by articles 4 and 5 of the present rules.
- Outside assistance of any form is strictly forbidden (following vehicles, any persons following athletes on bike or on foot) and will result in disqualification.
- All competitors accept that the organizers may use photographs or videos of them of any type (website, advertizing…) and waive any and all rights of copyright property.
- Bike drop off will take place on the Ourson Nautical Base, on Friday, July 6th 2012 from 5PM to 6PM.
- Departure for the race will take place on Saturday, July 7th 2012, at 5:30AM on the beach of the Matemale Lake at the Ourson Nautical base.
- Race finish will take place at the Angles village, at the Bleu Neige Center.
- During the race (exit of Bike Park and during the race) Medical personnel shall have ULTIMATE AND FINAL authority to remove a participant from the race if the participant is judged to be physically incapable of continuing the race.
- A swim cap, a race number and a bike race number will be provided by organizers. The race number is mandatory during the entire duration of the run and bike. The swim cap is mandatory during the swim and the bike number must be placed on the bike.
- If a competitor decides to withdraw from the race at any time, it is their responsibility to notify the closest race official and return the race number.
- The race is limited to 250 participants.
- Aid stations will be placed on the course. They will include mineral water, sodas, bananas, apples, ginger honey cake, chocolate, dried fruit, savory biscuits, peanuts and energy bars.
- Anti doping testing may take place at the finish line, according the federal rules.
- Only on foot circulation is permitted in the bike park.
- A line traced at the exit of the bike park and another before re-entry of the bike park will indicate the areas where participants must respect the obligation detailed in the previous article.
- Sanctions will be applied according the applicable FFTRI Rules.
- Cost of registration is fixed at 195€ for participants holding a valid FFTRI License (or a foreign triathlon federal license). All participants that cannot provide a federal license must purchase a day license at a cost of 45€.
- Participants may purchase cancellation insurance coverage for 19.5€: this permits competitors having purchased the insurance to be entirely reimbursed for all registration fees, under the condition of presenting a valid reason (injury, illness…). A certificate will be required as justification. Participants who have not purchased the insurance will not be reimbursed in any way.
- All participants who do not detain a federal license must provide a medical certificate of approval of a General Practitioner for the practice of competitive Triathlon.
- The deadline for registration is July 3rd 2012. No additional registrations will be taken after this date.
- Competitors must attend the briefing. The briefing will take place on Friday, July 6th 2012 at the Bleu Neige center, in Angles Village at 6:15PM.
- Black cards indicate a 10 minute time penalty.
- Any competitor that is seen voluntarily discarding any waste of any kind on the course will be immediately disqualified.
- All competitors must show exemplary behavior towards volunteers, referees or any other people on the course. Any disrespectful word or gesture will immediately result in disqualification.
- In the event of bad weather conditions, the triathlon will be transformed into a Duathlon. In such a case, the swim will be replaced by a 10km run.
- Race number retrieval and check in will take place on Friday, July 6th 2012 at the Salon of Triathlon (Triathlon Village) at the Ourson Nautical Base at Les Angles, from 2PM to 6PM.
- Cut off times for exiting the bike park and during the bike course will be implemented. Any competitor that arrives after the times detailed below will be automatically disqualified and will be obliged to turn in his/her race number to a referee or member of organization.

All competitors declare having read and agree to the present rules with no reservations or conditions of any kind. All competitors declare having understood the FFTRI rules relative to drafting and doping.
